False Alarm

So, on Saturday we had a bit of a false alarm...but judging by the first photo, you can see that we had good reason to believe it was about to go down.  Hopefully the next post will be one with a new member of our family!  We'll keep you posted!

34 1/2 weeks!

Well, K is going insane, but she is almost to 36 weeks which is where our Doc wants her to get.  So, tonight after a wonderful dinner at Zengo, I thought I would catch a few frames of the torpedo tummy in all its glory, so we did an impromptu photo shoot.  She'll be the first to tell you, I always seem to pick the worst times to get inspired, but by the end of it, she's into it big time!  Too bad though, since just as we were getting some great stuff, she had to take a seat to quiet the contractions.

Anyway, who knows, the next time we post, we could be showin' you some pics of Baby Brown!!!
Time to think of names.....

(as if we haven't already done that...fooled you though)

It's Growing

So, here we are 25 weeks and counting!  It's crazy to watch Kristin grow and think that we only have a little over three months to go.  The pregnancy is speeding by for me (I doubt it is for K),
and each day, I grow more and more anxious to meet our little bun in the oven.  Kristin is feeling the little bugger move around like crazy and she often grabs my hand in the middle of the night while we're snoozin' and puts it on her tummy and I can feel it fluttering around in there.  Part of me gets freaked out, afterall, she's got another human being growing inside of her, but it also gives me a good laugh in the middle of the night.
Recently we went to a birth class and I learned about all of the oh so pleasant things that we ought to expect during our mad dash to the hospital this coming March.  I must say, women are serious troopers to go through this.  Not that I didn't know that already, but when you learn about EVERYTHING they go through in birth, you quickly realize that your wife is one tough cookie. I can't wait to coach K during the whole process and I know she'll do great!
Below are some pics from the past couple of months with the most recent photo at the top. And lastly, our favorite feline Joey asked us to show you all his pedicure.
Hope this post finds you all happy and healthy.
Enjoy the pics,

15 weeks in NYC

Well, we just got back on Sunday night from a wonderful week in NYC that was filled with friends, fun, and a little nostalgia...
New York holds a special place in our hearts since Kristin and I ran away there for a week only three months after we started dating.  I'm sure our parents were thinking 'what the hell' when we did it, but it definitely was a huge turning point in our relationship and turned out to be the city in which we truly fell in love with each other.  Thus it was only fitting that we ventured there for a few days of fun as well as the wedding of a couple of great friends.
This trip also marked a first for me...I didn't bring any of my camera gear with me.  Instead, I brought a new point and shoot camera called a Canon G9 that I recently purchased and man, this thing ROCKS!  I took some pretty cool pics with it.  The best part is that you can throw the camera into full manual mode and control it like a real camera!
Anyway, Kristin held up great being 15 weeks at the time.  She's a trooper and fought through a few bouts of exhaustion and powered through the trip.  Her gusto allowed us to go to the International Center of Photography, the Statue of Liberty, the Public Library, dinner with her cousin, dinner with a photo friend of mine, a couple long walks, and of course...me photographing her the entire time.  I don't know how the heck she puts up with me and my camera, but I do get great stuff with her as you'll see in the last photo below...
We'll have a more about baby Brown in the next post!
Hope all is well with you all!

Kristin and Baby Brown on the Newark Airport train at 1:30am on Thursday...This was shot maybe 45 minutes before we found out that our hotel near the airport didn't have a room for us because they 'were having problems with some of the rooms.'  Just what we wanted to hear....

So, a couple days before we left for this trip, we saw a story about the smallest man in the world standing with the longest legged woman in the world...Well, when we got into the city on Thursday morning and checked in, who was in the lobby???  Yup, that's right!  Ping Ping!  The world's smallest man!  He only came up to about my knee!!!

Kristin and Baby Brown reading about the wonderful trillion dollar bailout in the NY Times in the lobby of the hotel.  If I had a trillion dollars.....

Babby Brown, Kristin and I at the Statue of Liberty.  This was a family first for all of us!!!

Baby Brown, Kristin and I in Grand Central Station.  I love seeing this train station every time I go to the city.  I feel like I've stepped back in time when I am there.

Baby Brown, Kristin, Alyssa, Abrams, Dan, Brew and Barkin...It still amazes that I've known the guys in this pic for almost 30 years now.

That is one fine bow tie!  Thanks to K for learning how to tie it.  Lord only knows I couldn't do it myself.

K and Baby Brown for their 15 week portrait.  We shot this on our way home from dinner at Thalia, one of our favorite restaurants in Manhattan...

Start spreadin' the news...

We are officially out of the first trimester, and in the words of Frank Sinatra..."Start spreadin' the news!"  Here is a picture from 12 weeks.  It is a profile picture, and you can see his head on the left side of the picture.  I am still feeling great besides an occasional headache and my pants becoming a little too snug.  I really want to find out the sex of the baby; Trevor is holding out for a surprise but I think he might be cracking.  We can find out on Oct. 23rd so if you see him in the meantime, put some pressure on him for me ;-)

Baby Brown

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting a little one in March 2009!!! Of course Trev is planning on documenting my pregnancy every step of the way so we will keep you updated often. Here is a pic of our first ultrasound at 8 weeks. It is hard to tell what it is, but if you look at it like a gummy bear you can kind of see the little guy. I have felt great throughout the first trimester (thankfully!), and hopefully the rest of the pregnancy will go just as smoothly. By the way I am using he/his/little guy but there is not reason behind that; I just always seem to call it a boy for some reason. We are not finding out the sex until the end so we have a long way to go!

Jack Brown

As some of you know, Trev's dog Jack passed away on August 25th. He was an incredible dog and was loved by many. He will be missed by all of us. Trev took some great shots of Jack over the years that really show his great personality. The second picture was published in America 24/7 featuring dogs all over the country.
